R&G Lounge, the Cantonese restaurant that's been a fixture of San Francisco's Chinatown since 1985, now has its "Coming Soon" wall up in The Forum Shops at Caesars, right next to José Andrés' Zaytinya. It's only the second R&G ever, and the announcement says it opens later this year, though there's no date or Vegas menu yet. In San Francisco the dish to know is the salt and pepper crab, pulled live from the tank, chopped and fried in the shell, and the Review-Journal also points to steamed live clams with egg and garlicky egg noodles tossed with prawns, clams and scallops.

The original Hush Puppy, frying catfish and hush puppies since 1975, is the only location on the restaurant's website now, at 7185 W Charleston Blvd, with drive-thru and carry-out from 3 to 10 p.m. and dine-in from 4 to 10 p.m. Neonopolis is looking for a new tenant for the Fremont space.
