Who we are

Vegas Food News is operated by THEFIT, Inc. This site and newsletter cover Las Vegas restaurants, bars, nightlife, and food-scene news.

Newsletter signup

Signups run through Buttondown. When you subscribe we collect your email, neighborhood preference, and IP address (Buttondown uses the IP for spam and abuse prevention). You get a confirmation email — click the link to finish joining. Unsubscribe anytime via the links in newsletter emails or through Buttondown.

Contact form

The contact form asks for name (optional), email, and your message. We use Cloudflare Turnstile as a bot check. Messages are emailed via Resend to our team at THEFIT, Inc. — we don't publish a public inbox address on this site; use the form instead.

Outbound click tracking

External links on the site and in the newsletter often go through /out. That redirect logs the destination, campaign / medium / story / label, user-agent, referer, and a hashed IP — not the raw IP in our database. We may store click records in Neon Postgres when that's configured, and we may also write them to server logs or an optional webhook. Purpose: link analytics for the newsletter and site so we can see what people actually open. We keep click logs until we no longer need them for measuring link performance, then delete or aggregate them.

Hosting and processors

We use other services only to run Vegas Food News:

• Vercel — hosts the site; Vercel Analytics for anonymous traffic stats
• Cloudflare — Turnstile bot check; email routing for our contact inbox
• Resend — sends contact-form email
• Buttondown — newsletter delivery and subscriber records
• Neon — optional Postgres for click analytics

Cookies and local storage

We don't run ad trackers. Cloudflare Turnstile may set cookies to do its job. Vercel Analytics may use lightweight analytics behavior. Beyond that, third-party widgets may set cookies as needed to function — we're not trying to build a fingerprint of you.

We don't sell your data

We do not sell personal data. We share data with processors only as needed to operate the service: Buttondown, Resend, Vercel, Cloudflare, and Neon (when used).

Children

This site and newsletter are not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from kids under 13.

Your choices

Unsubscribe from the newsletter anytime using the links in our emails (Buttondown manages subscriber records — we can help if you get stuck). Use the Contact page with questions, or to ask us to delete contact messages or other account data we control.

Changes to this policy

If practices change, we'll update this page. The "Last updated" date at the top is the source of truth.
