The Distrikt at 1561 S. Commerce St. (at Wyoming) is a new little food-and-drink complex in the Arts District, built from eight steel-and-glass buildings made to look like shipping containers, and about three-quarters of its dozen spaces are already spoken for. The Review-Journal says four are open now: Slice Deli, a New York-style Italian deli and pizzeria from Andy and Diane DeLillo with heroes, slices and a square Sicilian pie; Casa Dulce, for coffee, ice cream from Mexico, a fried-banana latte and espresso martinis; Marker 40, an eight-seat bar themed on Nevada history that makes two takes on Picon Punch; and Bartho’s Bierbar, a German-leaning beer bar with more than 70 bottled beers. Slice Deli is open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. More is on the way, with Vulgar Bulgar Brewing and the Indian street-food spot Tandoor District both expected in November, Chatime bubble tea coming later, and Shay’s Steaks cheesesteaks planned for early 2027. Developer Adam Foulad of KLA Capital wants every space open by the middle of 2027.
