Coming Soon: Picassa, a bakery café from the Donutique team, at Fashion Show

Picassa, an Italian-inspired bakery café from the owners of Donutique (the fancy doughnut shop in The Venetian), is moving into the first-floor Fashion Show space that was Grimaldi's Pizzeria for about a decade and then, briefly, Ambrosia Cafe & Bar. The Review-Journal says it's set to open in late November, and the café's own site says it's coming this winter to the Great Hall, right across from the Apple Store. Expect doughnuts (sprinkles, cinnamon sugar, vanilla glazed), fig and brie danish, plain croissants and coiled rolled croissants, plus gelato, overnight oats, açaí bowls and 10 sandwiches like smoked salmon and cream cheese with capers on a croissant. On the drink side there are lattes, tea, hot chocolate, smoothies and a few affogatos, including a Biscoff version with vanilla bean gelato and a Biscoff cookie. The café hasn't posted hours or prices, so follow @picassacafe on Instagram or join the mailing list on its site to hear when the doors open.
