Glass Box, the San Diego sushi bar from chef-owner Ethan Yang, opens its first Las Vegas outpost Sat Sep 26, 2026, at The Bend (8670 Sunset Road, Suite H-120). It’s a roughly 75-seat room with a large bar, an open kitchen, a glass-walled sushi counter, and about 500 sq ft of terrace, serving sushi and sashimi, omakase, and pan-Asian plates with Japan plus Taiwan, China, and Korea in the mix. The big draw is all-you-can-enjoy lunch and dinner (premium add-ons on the menu), and the official LV site says real footage goes live after Sep 26. Hours and dollar prices for the Vegas room aren’t posted yet, so check glassboxlv.com closer to open.
Chapala’s Mexican Restaurant at 3331 E. Tropicana Ave. has been feeding East Las Vegas since 1965, and owner Jose Flores now says the restaurant closes when the lease ends at the end of November 2026. Exact last day still isn’t set. Hours for a visit are Fri–Sat 11 a.m.–9 p.m. and Sun–Thu 11 a.m.–8 p.m. (phone 702-451-8141).
The Bedford by Martha Stewart at Paris Las Vegas is serving afternoon tea Fridays–Sundays, noon–4 p.m., with three tiers: The Bedford $64.99, The Duchess $86.99 (adds Champagne), and The Royal $169.99 (adds Ossetra caviar). You get loose-leaf teas plus a tiered spread of savories, scones, and pastries (think mini lobster roll, tarragon chicken, smoked salmon, and cucumber with cream cheese). Reservations: 702-946-4361.
